The ever-popular Oxygen Challenge hits North Wales in Spring and Autumn, when groups of keen beginners and outdoor enthusiasts take up the challenge on and around the stunning Snowdon mountain range.
Chris puts the group through their paces and leads them on countryside trails and incredible mountain walks. And there is a lot of activity over the course of the long weekend. Challengers get to take part in a hike across the sand dunes of Harlech, known as one of the finest examples of dune systems in Britain; they head to Coed y Brenin on mountain bikes where they cycle through stunning ancient pine forests threaded with crystal clear streams; and they take a trek to the summit of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. Then they’ll sit by the fireside and toast each day’s successes in the local pub.
But that’s not all of course; this is Chris Crudelli. So there is daily martial arts and self defence training, plus tips and tricks as seen in the TV show – all set on the vast, glorious beaches of the North West coast of Wales.
It may sound intense, and it is, but the Oxygen Challenge was designed for all levels of fitness and as a result has proven a huge hit amongst complete beginners to martial arts and outdoor activities, as well as the seasoned black belts.
Maybe it’s the scenery. Maybe it’s Chris’s world-class teaching. It’s almost certainly the great new friends. And it’s definitely the quality time outdoors, away from the numbing draw of the computer.
